Do I need to install anything?
Not from a store. Open it in a browser and you are playing. If you want it on a home screen, the console at playagain.app/host installs straight from the browser as an app. Phones never install anything — they scan the code on screen and become controllers.
Which consoles can I play?
NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Sega Genesis and PlayStation — all playable now, all running in the browser on the screen in front of you.
Can I play on my phone alone?
Yes. The console runs on a phone too, with on-screen controls over the picture, and anyone who scans your room code joins as a second player. A phone with no big screen is still a game night.
Can I use a PlayStation or Xbox controller?
Yes. Pair a DualSense, an Xbox pad, a Switch Pro or an 8BitDo to the screen you are playing on and it takes a player slot, named as the pad it actually is. It drives the menus too, so you never have to reach for a remote. A keyboard works the same way, and any of them can share a session with phones.
My host won't let the browser see my controller. Now what?
Pair the controller to your phone instead. Some hosts claim a Bluetooth pad for their own software before any web page sees it — so the phone you are already using as a controller relays the pad to the host over the link it already had. Nothing to set up: pair it, press a button, and the phone shows which pad is driving.
Can someone join after we have started?
Yes. The join code is on the pause menu — press it and it grows to something scannable from the sofa. Whoever scans it takes the next free slot, and a controller already playing steps aside to make room. Nobody has to quit the game to let a friend in.
Do phones need to be on the same Wi-Fi?
No — an internet connection is enough. Your phone pairs over the cloud, so friends can join your session from anywhere with a link. The one exception is running a game on your phone and streaming it to a slow screen: that goes peer to peer, so those two devices do need the same Wi-Fi.
My TV is too slow for PlayStation games. Now what?
PlayAgain measures the screen the moment the lobby opens. If it cannot hold 60 fps, pressing Start offers to run the game on your phone instead and stream the picture and sound to the screen — same saves, same pause menu. Single player, and the phone and the screen need the same Wi-Fi.
Where do the games come from?
You play with your own game files. Drop them into PlayAgain/roms/<console> in your own Google Drive — the folder tells us which console a file belongs to — and they appear on any screen you sign in on, with their real cartridge names and box art. Zip, 7z and RAR archives open on their own, and PlayStation discs need no BIOS file. Nothing is stored by us and nothing is distributed.
Does my progress follow me?
Yes. Battery saves sync to your Drive as you play, so a run started on the host carries on from a phone. There is also an instant save state in the pause menu for the bit that just killed you.
Is it free?
PlayAgain is free to start playing. Premium extras like expanded cloud saves may come later — game night itself stays free.
